Every day, essential oils naturally reach us as we walk in nature, inhale the scents of plants, eat herbs, or use various spices in cooking. Essential oils can provide many health benefits and can be used in households and aromatherapy procedures. It's important to use essential oils carefully, in moderation, following advice and recommendations.
Use of Essential Oils
As summer begins and the weather warms up, we spend more time outdoors and in nature. One of our biggest enemies, disturbing our peace, is mosquitoes and ticks. Various essential oils and their blends can help repel them or reduce itching, inflammation, or allergic reactions after insect bites.
Essential oils should be diluted before use, preferably by adding them to water or hydrosols. These mixtures can be sprayed or applied to the skin or clothes.

- If essential oil irritates the skin, it should be washed off with any carrier oil (olive, sunflower, etc.). It's not advisable to use water to wash off essential oil because water carries essential oils deeper into the skin, which can exacerbate irritation.
