How infrared light can help:
Infrared saunas have been scientifically proven to have anti-inflammatory properties that are beneficial to health. Here are some of the ways that have been proven by research:
Faster blood circulation: infrared saunas speed up blood circulation, which can help reduce inflammation and carry vital substances to cells.
Improved detoxification: infrared sauna promotes detoxification, which reduces inflammation in the body. As toxins and toxins are removed from the body, the immune system starts to work faster.
Increased production of heat shock protein (HSP): the infrared sauna increases the production of heat shock protein, which reduces inflammation in the body. HSPs are important for cell regeneration and can help protect cells from damage caused by inflammation.
Accelerated collagen production: infrared saunas can improve the production of collagen, which is essential for cell and tissue regeneration. Increased collagen improves skin health, promotes wound healing and reduces joint pain.
How an infrared body sauna works and why we like it so much
An infrared body sauna uses radiant heat to penetrate deeper into the skin and directly heat the body. The ideal temperature for sauna therapy is 43-54 degrees Celsius. Although higher heat does not increase the benefits of infrared, increased sweating is a great way to speed up detoxification by removing toxins, which is why our recommended temperature is 80 degrees Celsius.
Detoxification in an infrared body sauna takes place through radiant heat transfer. Unlike traditional saunas, which use hot air to heat the body and stimulate sweating, an infrared body sauna uses radiant heat to better penetrate the skin and heat the body from the inside. This allows the heat to reach the internal organs better, thus ensuring more effective detoxification.
Tips and tricks for using a body sauna:
Place the body sauna on a flat, heat-resistant surface before plugging the power cord into an electrical socket and pressing the power button;
Adjust the heat using the special dial. Before use, leave on for 10 minutes at the highest temperature;
If you do not want to be unclothed during the therapy, we recommend using the HigherRDOSE body sauna towel together. If you do not have one, be sure to wear trousers, a long-sleeved blouse and socks.
The recommended duration per session is between 30 and 50 minutes. The body sauna will automatically switch off after 60 minutes. After the treatment, take a cold shower to cool down your body and enhance the benefits of the infrared rays.
Questions? We answer.
Where can I use the body sauna?
Everywhere except on leather, foam surfaces, tempered beds or leather sofas. Also, do not use the blanket on mechanical or latex beds, as they can be damaged by high temperatures.
How often can I use a body sauna?
You can use the body sauna every day! Before and after your session, take a drink of water. We do not recommend more than one 50-minute session daily. It is better to start with 1-2 times a week depending on your needs, then increase the intensity.
Can I use the body sauna on a sofa or bed?
We do not recommend using it on a bed or sofa made of leather or foam.
Will the body sauna automatically switch off after a certain time?
Yes, it will automatically switch off after 60 minutes. A special beep will sound to let you know that the session is over and the heating is off.
Is the body sauna safe for children?
No, the body sauna is for adults only.
Does my body detoxify if I don't sweat?
Yes. Some people sweat less than others, so even if you're not drenched in sweat, it doesn't mean your body isn't detoxifying. Every sauna session stimulates your body's natural detoxification process. Your body is damp and a little sticky? That means your body is expelling toxins. Your sweat may even be slightly thicker than normal. The heat from the sauna raises your body temperature, improves blood circulation and triggers the natural detoxification process.
If I am using a body sauna for the first time, should I start with the lowest temperature?
Yes, start at a lower temperature. You don't need to sweat to get all the benefits of infrared heat. Many people use lower temperatures to relax in the evening and so relieve muscle pain.
How do I fold a body sauna?
We suggest that you first fold it in half lengthways, then fold the top and bottom parts towards the centre. This will save the most space.
How do I maintain my body sauna?
Wait until the sauna blanket has cooled down and is no longer hot. Wipe with a baby wipe or non-toxic cleaner and let dry. We recommend that you clean the blanket after each use to make it last as long as possible.
Can everyone use the body sauna?
The blanket is not suitable for pregnant women, people with haemophilia, people with fever or who have been drinking. If you are taking certain medications, are under 12 years of age, are elderly, have heart or vascular disease, have chronic diseases, broken bones, cancer or other malignant or blood pressure diseases, have recently undergone surgery, or have anhidrosis, mental illness, osteoporosis and other skin diseases, redness or burns on the skin, cardiac defibrillators or other implanted devices, malignant tumours, complaints of nausea, headaches, make sure you consult your doctor about the use of the blanket.
Do I have to wear clothes?
Yes, it is important to wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and socks for maximum protection of your skin. If you prefer to use a blanket without clothes, we recommend you purchase our body sauna towel.
Does using a body sauna burn calories?
Yes, you will burn up to 500 calories per session.
