The Susie birth simulator is designed to help educators teach birth management skills to all levels of learners. An anatomically accurate pelvis and full-term newborn allow learners to develop clinical skills that can be applied through a variety of scenario-based exercises. The modular design allows for expanded functionality as specific training needs grow.

Functionality:
- Adult-sized lower torso from the diaphragm to the quadriceps;
- Smooth skin with seamless joints to improve realism;
- Anatomically accurate pelvic landmarks, including pubic bone and coccyx;
- Removable pregnant belly cover;
- Mobile hip joints help to perform the McRobert maneuver;
- The cervix and birth canal are removed;
- Viable placenta with removable testicles;
- Perform catheterization exercises with an open urethra;
- The urine tank holds up to 400 ml;
- Patented rectal tube accepts Birthing Baby suppositories;

Procedures:
- Carry out fruit turning;
- Perform the Ritgen maneuver;
- Practice breech delivery (mixed, true and leg);
- Perform the Pinard maneuver;
- Simulate shoulder dystocia (stuck);
- Practice emergency interventions, including the McRobert maneuver, suprapubic pressure, posterior arm rotation, and Wood's Screw maneuvers;
- Perform placental and umbilical cord exercises (placenta delivery, partial placenta previa, umbilical cord wrap around the neck, umbilical cord prolapse and many others);
- Perform placental and umbilical cord procedures such as clamping and cutting;
- Demonstrate internal rotation, push-out and external rotation.
Baby
- Perform an operative delivery with real instruments such as vacuum suction and forceps delivery;
- Simulate nose and mouth suction.
Realistic tactile anatomy
Pelvic landmarks and dilated cervix are palpated for vaginal examination.
Realistic fetal birth
Illustrate cardinal movements, landing, twisting and thrusting.
Smooth, elastic newborn skin
Apply, suction and pull the vacuum cup.
The belly is removable
Visualize and understand the internal picture of fetal movements.
Realistic umbilical cord
Practice realistic cord clamping and cutting.
