In 1999 Karl-Werner Wilke, the manager, founded B. & W. bioCARE GmbH in Urbach. Today the company already ranks among the specialists for security systems, restraints and products for urology and provides the German and the European market with customized medical products and sets.
The successful company supplies the specialized trade, hospitals, medical supply stores, penal institutions and pharmacies. bioCARE employs a team of 46 professionals and has been a social enterprise for disabled since 2003. By now 19 severely disabled are employed. An important concern is the development and training of young people. Since 2003 the company has employed apprentices in administration und warehouse/dispatch. In this context the good working environment should be pointed out in particular.
